I wasn't thrilled with that first waterless snow globe that I shared with you. So, I tried again! And I'm much happier with this version!!
I used a glass cupcake server from Hobby Lobby this time. The stamp set is CTMH Christmas Village D1554. I used CTMH watercolor pencils (3505) to color the images, CTMH liquid appliqué (z308) for the snow on the buildings, CTMH glitz glitter gel Stardust (z1313) to add some sparkle. I also randomly applied stardust glitter gel directly to the top of the cupcake dome to mimic icicles and then sprinkled Waterfall Stickles fine glitter. There's a circle of a glittered snow blanket in the bottom of the base to look like snow. I used CTMH liquid glass (z679) to adhere the pieces to the glass dome. Liquid Glass dries clear so that you don't see it from the outside of the dome. Everything is adhered on the inside of the glass dome.
I hope you enjoy this project!! If you have any questions or want to order the supplies (except the cupcake server), just comment here or email me. I'd love to help you get one put together for your family to enjoy!!
Have a WONDERFUL WEEK!!
See you next time!!

My creative mojo is sloooowwly coming back from its vacation! Thank goodness!!
Here's a card I put together this morning using Cashmere, Gypsy, Barn Red, Pear & Sunset inks, Huntington Paper Pack and colonial white card stock. I also used the September stamp of the month from Close To My Heart, Poster Tidings S1309.
I'm thinking I might link this to the Heart 2 Heart group's challenge to use all those colors in a project of some kind.
I hope you enjoy the card pic! Let me know if you'd like to get the info on how to get your Poster Tidings stamp set. It has a Christmas poster tidings stamp too! You can get the 2 piece set for $5 with a $50 purchase.
HAPPY SEPTEMBER TO YOU!!!

I promised I'd post photos of the snow globe project that I was working on last week. I've worked on it and worked on it. I'm still not totally happy with it but thought I'd go ahead and post the pics and ask for suggestions of what I need to do to it.
There you go! I've got a different shaped glass globe that I'm going to play with tomorrow. Hopefully I'll like it better.
Tell me what you think and give suggestions for improvement if you want. I'm open for any suggestions!
The CTMH stamp sets that I used are Candyland D1557 and Always Grateful C1559 for the trees.
I'll chat with you later! Have a great week!!

I recreated a card from the Fall/Winter CTMH Idea Book. The corporate version is on page 7 of our new idea book.
Here's my version:
I used the You Only Live Once stamp set (B1434) available as a hostess reward if you host a qualifying gathering. I changed it up just a bit. I used Lagoon, honey, whisper and white daisy card stock, Chantilly paper pack, honey and whisper ink, liquid glass and Licorice Opaques (z1335).
I hope you enjoy this card! If YOU would like to host a gathering, please contact me and we'll get it set up.
Have a great week!! I hope to hear from you soon!!

Hello and Welcome Back to my Blog!!
I've gotten in quite a few of new CTMH stamps from the new fall/winter idea book over the last couple of weeks.
On page 50 of the new idea book there is a snow globe that doesn't have water. I'm working on making my own version of it. Several consultants have been pondering what the glass piece is that was used in the idea book version. Nobody knows....today I made a trip to Hobby Lobby to try to find something similar. I found a few things: a glass cupcake stand with cover (I think this will look awesome!), a mini trifle bowl that can be turned upside down and a replacement piece for a wall sconce. The sconce is what I'm starting with in my artistic adventure to create my own waterless snow globe.
Here's what the project looks like so far. I've stamped and watercolored all the pieces and I've also glitter glitzed them all. I've got to let them dry then I'll start putting the pieces into the glass piece.
I'll post a finished picture tomorrow so you can see how it turns out.
Have a great night!! And I hope you like this little project tease!!

My daughter Kelly (almost 16), accomplished a teenager's second most coveted milestone yesterday. She is the new owner of a Learner's Permit to drive!! OY!!
Look out drivers on the roads in Tomball/Houston area!! Actually, I think that I'll be happy when she finally gets her drivers license. It will get me off the road occasionally.
I am EXTREMELY PROUD of Kelly's accomplishments in her 15+ years!! I love you KellyGirl!!

Hello Everyone!!
Welcome to my new blog! And a huge THANK YOU for stopping by! Please follow my posts if you'd like. I would love for you to follow along. This blog is going to be a mixture of Close To My Heart (CTMH) stuff and personal stuff as well. Be prepared, I am a new MiMi and I'm inclined to share photos of Mr. Branson Brooks quite frequently.
This is Branson. I call him Little B for short (just for now, he's growing fast; so Little B won't work soon!) He's 4 months old and the sweetest, happiest baby around. I'm just a little bit partial to him & his big brother Trey. Branson is our daughter Bri and her husband Lance's son. They live in Ft. Worth Texas. It's about a 4 hour drive between us. Trey lives here in Tomball with his Mom.
Now for a CTMH post. I've been working this week on what we consultants call a "swap". I chose to use the new ProPlayer paper from the CTMH new fall/winter 2013 idea book. I can't show you my actual work yet until all the other participants have received their items, but I can give you a glimpse of it all laid out on my work table.
This paper pack is great for pages in a boy's album, a gaming birthday party, or I'm betting you could girly it up too! Once everyone receives their swap items, I'll post a better photo of each item.
I've got lots of other works that I can post. I've got to photograph them first :)
I hope you have enjoyed my first post. And I really hope that you'll check back here from time to time.
